    How We Treat Snoring

Before we can treat snoring, our patient must have a diagnostic sleep study. The most appropriate snoring treatment is diagnostically driven, therefore, diagnosis is the key of a successful treatment. The best way to arrive at a diagnosis is to follow a protocol that includes a comprehensive examination and appropriate tests.

The following video will give you insight into our diagnostic procedures.

    Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT)

Snoring is the vibration of a partially collapsed airway while sleeping. Oral appliance therapy prevents this airway collapse by gently repositioning the jaw. These are also referred to as mandibular advancement devices. Wearing oral appliances will often stop snoring as soon as the patient uses it so he or she can rest comfortably and sleep better. An improved quality of life often results from consistently better sleep.
