At TMJ & Sleep Treatment Centres we provide non-surgical therapies for adults and children suffering from craniofacial pain (TMJ/TMD) and sleep-breathing disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. With proper evaluation and diagnosis, these conditions can be successfully treated. TMJ & Sleep Treatment Centres are dedicated exclusively to the evaluation and treatment of these conditions.
Our approach is to use a comprehensive evaluation for proper diagnosis followed by non-invasive, reversible, sustainable therapies. We provide successful results using state-of-the-art technology and research-based treatment in a caring and friendly environment. We recognize and treat each patient as a unique individual.
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the most unique joint in the whole body as it is two joints in one. The two joints, one on each side of the head, are connected by the jawbone.
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is caused by an airway blockage (obstruction) during sleep. During the day, muscles in the airway region keep the throat and airway passage wide open but when a patient has OSA, the throat collapses during sleep, blocking the airway and preventing air from getting to the lungs. OSA is dangerous and should not to be ignored at any age. OSA can often be treated with an oral appliance.
Snoring, at any age, is not normal and reduces sleep quality, which affects overall health. Snoring can also negatively impact the quality of sleep of your partner.
Muscles, when in extreme tension from hyperactivity as a defense to sleep breathing and/or structural issues, can cause pain. Headaches are usually from muscle pain and are often accompanied by neck, back and shoulder pain.

Surprisingly, yes. TMJ issues can come from clenching and grinding your teeth during the night, while asleep. This can lead to tight muscles and jaw problems. In children and adolescents, TMJ and sleep problems often go undiscovered.
Botox is the injection of a neurotoxin into your jaw and head muscles to kill the nerves that cause your muscles to contract.
