TMJ Symptoms

    For Patients

    Patients With A Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder Often Experience One Or More Of The Following TMJ-Related Symptoms:

    • Headaches or migraines
    • Jaw pain or a tight jaw
    • Sounds from the jaw joint, such as clicking, popping or grating
    • Problems with the jaw, such as difficulty opening or closing
    • Pain while chewing food or difficulty swallowing
    • Problems with the ears such as an earache, ringing in the ears or congestion
    • Dizziness
    • Pain behind the eyes
    • Pain in the neck or throat
    • Facial pain
    • Difficulty closing the teeth together
    • Tenderness of the scalp
    • Clenching or grinding teeth
    • Sleep disorders, such as snoring or sleep apnea
